This exquisite material and our sustainable methods set our products apart. We never cut live trees. Instead, we hike across the Cascade Mountains of Western Washington to recover the finest old-growth Western Red cedar left from circa 1900 logging. We use hand tools and a helicopter to recover this highly durable material without damaging surrounding forest lands.
